We can just about guarantee that your moving day will be equal parts hectic, frustrating, and aggravating.  But that doesn’t mean you should forget about the purpose behind it all…you’re moving to your new home, which is an exciting experience.  You don’t want to look back in a few days or years and be disappointed that you didn’t appreciate it at the time.  So let’s run through three quick things you should do to fully appreciate that day…

1. Say Goodbye to Your Old Home – Moving day is not the time to take breaks every 5 minutes to reminisce over every little item or memory, but when the boxes are all loaded and everything’s ready to go, take a moment to step back into your home and say goodbye one last time.  Don’t get so caught up in the hectic schedule that you forget to appreciate where you came from.
2. Properly Greet Your New Home – These tips may seem a little weird so far, but there’s nothing wrong with going into your new home before the movers get there and taking stock of your surroundings before the stuff invades.  You’ll never get to see it in pristine condition again, so consider snapping a bunch of pictures.
   
3.
